When you have objects details set to low, you cannot see rec, factory, etc., entrances, and if you go in you cannot see anything, not the panel.

This is because it forces LOD models to always show. Does this occur in earlier versions? I wonder if there is a safe way to make the model go more complex if closer, or to edit the LODs to have very rudimentary openings.

Object detail low forces all Lods to their lowest level at ALL times.

Medium switches them according to ODF distances

High switches off lods altogether. No point taking it off of high anyway, geometry isnt that impacting on FPS anymore

Whenever I've used low, the game changes the models back to what they are normally when I am on the same terrain square as them.

In 1.2, on low object detail, if you're on the same tile as the building, it changes models to higher detail.

This is 1.3 - I don't have 1.2 installed.

Point is, it works in 1.2, but not in 1.3.

Odd, works for me...

It was FS2, but that's probably nothing

That only doubles the point. Be it not in 1.2 it's still a point.
