Well, I've made great progress on my new map! grin

Until I pressed the 'Save' button, that is, and the editor minimised itself. Now it's down there it won't come back up again.

The same thing happens when I try to load a map for editing. I got around it with the FEDevTV editor.

Try using the alt-enter key combination to switch off of fullscreen mode, or the console commands to save/load map files (sorry I forget what the command is)

The issue was caused by a utility called TrueTransparency. I've shut it down and BZ2 is back up and running.

Vista transformation pack?

I'm running Windows 7 and Aero refuses to work because I have a graphics rating of 1.0, so I'm finding alternatives. And turning them all off because they use far too much processing power for my liking.

Look at render_editor.cfg, in this chunk:

Quote
// Flag to tell the editor to switch to windowed mode when schematic
// view (Alt-F9) is opened. Setting it to 1 is the safe default, as
// some (old) graphics cards can't handle the 2D save dialog being on
// top of a 3D plane. If you've got a newer machine, setting this to 0
// is probably more convenient.
EditorSchematicIsWindowed = 1

I'll make sure to set that, though removing TrueTransparency worked just fine Smiley
