A person's time is a valuable thing.  Ken, Tug and DX have invested and continue to invest a lot of personal time on BZ.  I would just like to say Thank You for your efforts to improve an old favorite of mine.

I know you all three take some abuse from the community in one way or another but there are plenty of us who appreciate your efforts, big and small.

Under the Comm-Room forum should be a bz hall of fame compiled up by popular selection.

Avatar, Eddy, the rest that I don't care to list just yet...
Just as a nod to them.

If this exists already, point me to it.

Posting my thanks to you guys as well for working on trying to get the game up to date.

I'm waiting to try and spread the word about 1.5 when it actually gets released. Smiley

I'm just glad we were able to get the source code back then.  Smiley

(I had the 1.3 source code from the BZ2 Source Safe repository, and Dx got the 1.4 from somewhere.)

Moi aussi.

I am a member of a fairly large gaming community and they have agreed that this release won't be treated as warez even if it doesn't meet the standard of open source/freeware. That means potential exposure to almost 20,000 gamers.
(normally any advocating or distibution of warez is an insta ban from the community).

Amazing really that people are not only interested but actually developing a 12 year old game. Only conclusion is there are still some amazing people still about.

It helps that Battlezone was the first game I worked on from start to finish, and it and Battlezone 2 were pretty much the formative experiences of my career.   grin

Gamespot STILL has BZ as the 15th best game they've ever reviewed for the PC.

That's a pedigree to be proud of.
