Sorry, but I had to laugh about that one .... The guy that has been developing 1.3 for us for the last years, thats Nathan Mates(check the 1.3 release sticky and look where you can DL 1.3). The guy that has been developing G66 for years (up untill some time ago), thats Natty Bumppo. 2 of the greatest men in the history of BZ2 ..

GSH is Nathan.
Natty Bumppo is a character in the Leatherstocking Tales. Oh, and one of the best modders to ever grace us with his presence.

I find that if I don't have a signature, some people disregard the last couple of lines of a long post. IQ's have really dropped around here just recently, must be something in the water.

Interesting idea that they might be the same, though.

My name is visible if you click on my profile here, or read readme13.rtf . It's not rocket science.
And no, I'm not Natty Bumppo at all.

I would like to be Nathan Mates. Then I could add all the amazing things I want BZ2 to be capable of doing. Natty Bumppo is a character in the Leatherstocking Tales. Oh, and one of the best modders to ever grace us with his presence.
I still don't get why everyone thinks he is so special. He made 1 mod. It wasn't even really a mod. Just a collection of maps with some new nifty DLL. Not exactly rocket science either.

G66, back in the 1.2 days, was one of the best MPI stuff at the time. Much, much better than stock, and more challenging than stock AIP's.
Depending on the map, you can have forces coming from any particular direction. Heck, once in a while, you may find yourself being invaded in the rear of the base, where defenses will tend to be very lacking. The G66 DLL's, both 1.2 and 1.3, are very different and include many neat tricks than what some other DLL's can provide.

Gone from BZ2 for good this time. Was nice contributing when I could. But I no longer have any desires to continue playing.

He set the bar for all of us, and so far I havent seen anyone surpass him in MP-mod making... Also note that he already did, almost 10 years ago, what most of us cant even do today(or end up using G66 as guideline).

G66 was probably the first advertisement for the power exposed by BZ2 to DLLs. So many people insist on access to the raw code to get what they think they want. But, Natty proved there's plenty of gameplay tweakable thru DLLs.

I have played several G66 1.5 games in my time... The only major difference from stock that I ever noticed was a few insignificant new units.
