Natty Bumppo is the author of G66 and is one of the very finest BZ2 modders. Unfortunately, Natty was unable to finish 2.0 due to RL, but he was gracious enough to pass on the DLL source and assets Commando, bless him, did a *lot* of tedious work in modifying assets to make use of inheritance. I was fortunate enough to be able to work on his project, but, in the process, I have been affected/infected by his loathng of humans, so I am now unable to apologize for any evil that may befall you - not that I would if I could. G66 3.0 should mainly be played on the "v2' maps found at the bottom of the map list.G66 3.0 Features:
Environment:
- Earthquakes - Animals - Volcanoes and Geysers - Random Pools - Random Scrap Fields - Mine Fields - Birds - Sun Movement
AI:
- Surprise Attacks - Rogue Attacks - Subversion - Patrols - Skill Progression - Fighting Pilots (Randomized Snipers, Riflemen, Grenadiers, and Rocketeers) - Advanced AI - 12 Generic AIP's per race - Difficulty adjustments - Selectable in shell. - Difficulty increases according to number of humans present. - Armor of enemy increases according to difficulty selected. - Idle Dispatcher is not used
Startup
- Advanced ship selection - Neutral Snipes
Humans
- Commandable Infantry (snipers, riflemen, grenadiers, anti-tank) - Pilotable APCs (thanks to Greenheart) - Subversion Rifles (thanks to Nielk1 for the chargegun idea)
Deathmatch
- Huge DM maps with fast ships
Here's the BETA of G66 3.0 to TEST. It's for PB5.1.>>> DELETE any old G66 2.0 folder before installing <<< Unzip to the root of your install so that it creates a "G66 3.0" folder in the root. Your install should look like this: Add ' /config G665.1.cfg ' (sans quotes) to your shortcut to run (use the supplied .lnk file as a guide).Example: Target "C:\Program Files\BZ2\bzone.exe" /config G665.1.cfg Start in "C:\Program Files\BZ2" Vista/Windows 7:
- Add /novista to the shortcut as well if you want BZ2 file locations to remain the same. Otherwise, Vista/Windows 7 will place the pilots, saved, and other folders and their files in My Documents. The maps in the map list with a 'v2' on the end are G66 3.0 maps. The others are older maps without all the new path points added yet, so they will not play as well as the 'v2' maps.G66 3.0 Final for PB5.1 <<===== DOWNLOAD LINK .zip version 40.183 MB Warning: The startup .cfg file contents have changed, so be sure to replace it with the one included in the zip.

Uploaded a 3.0 version that i have been working on since 2.0 was posted.
You'll need to change your shortcut to use this after installing:
/config G665.1.cfg

I uploaded a fresh copy after fixing some cosmetic and internal naming issues to avoid confusion (for me). The previous zip shouldn't give you bad assets, but, if it does, download it again and follow the instructions in the above post.

Mini-map lighting is applied using the initial lighting if Day/Night cycle is turned on, so it's lighter if you pick a daytime starting time.

Having a rushed/bad day, i reckon. Uploading a new zip, same name/link.
Be sure to delete any old G66 2.0/3.0/G66 5.1 folders before installing in your 5.1 install.

Uploading a new zip:. Same name/same link. Give it about 6 minutes from now to finish. + Fixed the Rocket Pod/Mortar Pod physics + Fixed Rocket Pod so that it actually fires (had forgotten to rebuild the mesh) + Improved the Lash Missile You can blame Axe for it killing you now. + Made the Rocket Pod/Mortar Pod attack instead just going to a hold point. This should be the last update for awhile now, so enjoy. Edit: GBD point out that TCP Multishot was dragging down FPS a lot, so i investigated and found that emitDelay = 0.001 was the culprit. Found a number of places where that was in effect and reduced them all to 0.01 and FPS is very good now.

I actually modified a bunch of weapon effects that were dragging down fps. Thanks very much for pointing that out. Works very well now.

conversion is bullhoot, i just played a long game on mojave, i finaly get a big army ready to hit base. i had 3 atillas with siege cannon and they all got converted, thats not making it harder, its just getting cheated. its no fun to see you army getting wiped out after 1 1/2 hour of playing by means u can not predict or prevent. im not playing this again untill that is fixed.

Converted to the enemy by means of the Subversion Ray? That's part of the game. That has always been a part of G66 even for the patch 1.2 days. Or are you talking about them losing their weapon somehow, that doesn't happen to me. What happened exactly?

Converted to the enemy by means of the Subversion Ray? That's part of the game. i know it is and it never bothered me, but i have never seen it this extreme. i had 3 atillas with siege cannon backed up by rockettanks, landmasters and service trucks. thats a thousands worth of scrap army that takes some time and a lot of effort to build and to get in a good position to attack base. out of nothing all 3 of my atillas get converted to enemy and imediatly start firing on the rest of my army. 1 1/2 hour worth of playing for nothing..... i dont mind getting pawned by the ai, infact i love it when they make a good counterattack. but this to me just feels like getting cheated. this was the first 3.0 version game i played and the first time this happened to me. so i asume there was a change made to cause this? dont take this all too negative, i love the g66 mod and appreciate the loads of work done to create/update it. this thing however prevents me from playing it again considering the long time it takes to play 1 game.
