I don't think the player's puma was ever meant to have assault cannons.  I could be wrong.  It having the assault HP was outright dumb because it meant you could have a highly maneuverable assault tank rendering the standard assault tank pointless.

It had assault before? It's the spiritual successor of the NSDF Bobcat, I.E. a LIGHT TANK. So yes Commando, you are exactly right.

I think it got left in there before from testing stuff.

Natty intentionally made one variant of the Puma have the assault Cannon so it would use its rocket hps on ships.  That one variant, which was an ai patrolling puma, should have been the only one to have the assault cannon as far as I know.

That's probably what I did and it got caught up in the copy/paste firestorm.

Posted an RC8:

- Added race-specific (colored) scrap.
- Renamed ISDF pilot weapons
- Fixed Shotgun price and adjusted its damage. Thanks to Day.
- Worked on crigs stuttering.
- Fixed Main button on 2nd page.  Thanks to Axe
- Fixed some client pages not working.  Thanks to ?
- Reduced fighting pilot signatures
- Added some more weapons to the AI if Advanced Weapons selected and Difficulty > Normal
- Added a (better?) sound effect to the siege mortar
- Moved the Rocket Tower/Spire away for the human base on MPI: Iceberg.  Thanks to Axe
- Added some new tanks to I/S for the warrior ladies
- Fixed the patrol Mortar Bike icon
- If you hop of of the Spectator ship in a G66 2.0 DM, you won't be able to get back in (for now)

I think giving the Puma a combat cannon is a good thing - assault definately doesn't fit. Besides, my favourite combination of Harpoon + Plasma is now that little bit more useful.

Uploaded an RC9:

- Made mortar crates able to be picked up by Scion Archer, plus made them available in the Kiln/Forge, plus gave them to the AI  evil
- Removed Difficulty restriction for giving advanced weapons to the ISDF AI.  Just select Advanced Weapons and it will apply, no matter the difficulty setting.  Will do Scions if it goes okay.
- Gave more AI units a wider (randomized) selection of advanced weapons
- Re-added Scion Electric Flame Archer  evil
