I don't mind making up cannon for BZ2. I do, however, support removing that particular circle about the creation of biometal.

That's not a paradox.

As I stated somewhere, any biometal ship that crashed on early earth would have been totally obliterated in the inferno over billions of years, so the meteor bringing bio metal to earth for the bz1 storyline to happen *is* technically the first real chunk that humans can use.

I disagree, I think it would have ended up buried deep underground where it couldn't be found, it might have hit the earth's core.

But my way, it could resurface! With the crew in suspended animation.

Should point out that Biometal was a creation of the Promethean race as a poison to use against the Swarm before they got out of hand. See Fleshstorm for full details Tongue

And even then, that statement is incorrect. Prometheans FOUND biometal and later learned that it is toxic to the Swarm.

Didn't someone throw out the theory that Biometal is a naturally occurring substance?

Actually, one of the briefing/debreifings in bz2 confirms that the Cthonians created biometal.

They created a strain of Biometal, which is apparently the one prominent in the Solar Sytem. So in a sense this is true.

Yes, it is called Biometal Breeding. the ISDF creates biometal too. The ISDF Recycler can create biometal. It is who made it FIRST not just who made it.

The thing is, all the briefings in bz1 or bz2 don't confirm squat. They are mostly "As far as we know, this and that something or other." Under the circumstances, there isn't much chance of a race that JUST found biometal 40-50 years back to have a clue where it originated.
